Sam Deep surpasses 2.1b streams following release of Who I Am
South African amapiano producer and DJ Sam Deep has surpassed 2.1 billion streams across digital platforms following the release of his album Who I Am, marking a significant milestone in his career.

The album reached number one on both Apple Music and Spotify charts upon its release, with several tracks achieving commercial success. Lead single ‘Shela’ has been certified four-times platinum in South Africa and held the top position on local charts for nine consecutive weeks. The track also reached number one across major platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube and radio.
Another single from the album, ‘Thandaza’, has been certified gold and also achieved number one positions on Apple Music and Spotify.
Beyond streaming platforms, Who I Am has gained traction on social media, particularly on TikTok, where tracks from the album have generated approximately 2.5 billion views and more than 4.6 million user-created videos.
On radio, ‘Shela’ has recorded over 4 000 plays and accumulated more than 304 million audience impressions, indicating sustained airplay across broadcasters.
Sam Deep’s audience has also grown on streaming services, with approximately 2.5 million monthly listeners and around one million followers on Spotify.
