The app has experienced steady growth on Android TV, prompting Deezer to reimagine the platform from the ground up. The overhaul includes smoother navigation, richer visuals, and enhanced music discovery capabilities.
“At Deezer, we’re continuously evolving our product to reflect how people listen to music in their day-to-day life,” Deezer vice president of product & engineering Nicolas Pinoteau said. “With this new Android TV experience, we’re bringing a more intuitive, high-quality way to enjoy music on the biggest screen in the home, designed to meet the highest of expectations.”
The updated app introduces a range of features, including Flow, track mixes, 100% artist playlists, HiFi sound quality, and word-by-word lyrics suitable for a karaoke-style experience. Deezer said the redesign aims to deliver a premium and personalised music experience tailored to user preferences.
The new Android TV app is available on compatible devices via the Google Play Store, with Fire TV access expected soon through the Amazon Appstore.
Deezer continues to expand its platform offerings, providing users with greater control and customisation. Recent initiatives include enhancements to playlist management, algorithm settings, monthly listening statistics through “My Deezer Month,” and the ability to share tracks and playlists across different streaming services.
