SA: DJ Doowap shares new single Areyeng

The high-energy bacardi track, rooted in Pretoria’s music culture, features contributions from C JayMnandi, DJ Mobla, Nico Loco, Vine Musiq, Boy Biza and Muses Man.

The title of the track translates to “let’s go” in Setswana. “Areyeng is one of my favourite songs to date. It radiates joy, movement, and pure dance floor magic,” DJ Doowap said. “It’s the kind of track that lifts your spirit and moves your body.”

Known for her role in popularising bacardi music, DJ Doowap has built a reputation as both a performer and a cultural figure. In addition to her music, she is an ambassador for Maybelline and Adidas, and was recently nominated for the Glamour Most Glamorous 2025 Readers’ Choice Award.
