The University of Johannesburg’s Arts & Culture Division is inviting recent graduates to apply for internships funded by the Culture, Art, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority (CATHSSETA).

- Copywriting (4 positions)
- Multimedia (10 positions)

Internship descriptions & requirements
Copywriting Internship (4 positions)
Interns will be mentored in crafting copy for social media campaigns, advertisements, media statements, and feature articles for print and online platforms.
- Skills development: Writing, planning, creative thinking, innovation, organisation, and digital literacy.
- Minimum requirement: Postgraduate degree or relevant qualification in Journalism or Copywriting from a public university.
Multimedia Internship (10 positions)
Interns will learn to animate visual content for social media, archive media, record and edit interviews, and compile showreels.
- Skills development: Filming, editing, animation, innovation, planning, and work ethic.
- Minimum requirement: Postgraduate degree or relevant qualification in Multimedia from a public university.
Performing Arts Administration Internship (2 positions)
Interns will be mentored in administrative processes, programme planning, and project implementation.
- Skills development: Administrative competence, communication, coordination, planning, and innovation.
- Minimum requirement: Postgraduate degree or relevant qualification in Performing Arts from a public university.
Hospitality Internship (1 position)
Application process
Applications close on 26 August and late applications will not be considered. Applicants must be recent graduates from a public university with the relevant qualifications. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R5 000 (subject to deductions).
