Nigerian Afro-fusion artist BNXN has officially released his highly anticipated sophomore album, Captain.

The 16-track project, now available on all major streaming platforms, features collaborations with top Afrobeats acts including Seyi Vibez, Victony, FOLA, and the Soweto Gospel Choir.
“This album represents who I am right now and everything I’ve been through to get here,” BNXN said. “It’s the most honest I’ve ever been in my music. I want my fans to feel every high and every low – this is my story, the story of the captain.”
The album blends a wide array of sonic influences, with BNXN drawing from personal experiences to explore both the pleasures and pressures of being one of Afrobeats’ most revered voices.
Produced by an international line-up including Jiggy (known for work with Ice Spice and Cash Cobain), Rymez, Kel P, Synx, Vampire Craze, and Gemini Major, Captain showcases BNXN’s refusal to be confined by genre. Tracks like ‘Cutesy’, ‘Totori’, and ‘Cough Syrup’ (featuring Victony) traverse a rich musical terrain.
BNXN, who began teasing the album with singles such as ‘Phenomena’, ‘Fi Kan We Kan’ featuring Rema, ‘Cutesy’, and ‘Very Soon’ featuring FOLA, has already amassed over 185 million streams from this rollout alone. Industry observers are tipping Captain to be one of Nigeria’s biggest releases of 2025. As Top Charts Africa put it, “It feels personal, like he’s letting us into a more vulnerable part of himself… and it works.”
Following the album’s release, BNXN is set to embark on a North American tour starting this August, with stops in cities including Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Montreal, Los Angeles, and Vancouver.
Tickets are now on sale here.
