Set for 6 June 2025, the performance will take place at the Goethe-Institut courtyard.
Since their formation in 2021, O.U_SLOW has gained a growing following for their distinctive blend of rock, jazz, funk, and RnB. Founded by singer and lead guitarist Charl Vries, the six-member ensemble is known for its rich, genre-defying sound that reflects each member’s unique musical background.
Following the release of well-received singles such as ‘Casey Thompson’, ‘Pink Girls Club’, and ‘To the Wild Again’, all of which earned airplay on local radio stations, the band launched their latest EP, Smoking Hot Holly, earlier this year. The record, available on YouTube and most major streaming platforms, further cements the group’s reputation for musical innovation and artistic flair.
“O.U_SLOW shows are more than just musical performances—they are immersive events enhanced by striking visuals,” frontman Charl Vries said. “We want to make the audience feel a sense of excitement when we perform. Every performance is a celebration of life’s beautiful ups and downs.”
NUTS was launched in 2014 and has become a cornerstone of Namibia’s live music calendar. The concert series not only highlights the country’s established and emerging musical talent but also fosters cultural exchange by occasionally featuring international acts.
“We are proud to bring this refreshing mixture of genres to our familiar courtyard stage,” the Goethe-Institut said. “O.U_SLOW’s appearance promises to be a captivating evening that showcases the creativity and spirit of Namibia’s music scene.”
