Beatport launches Sounds sample packs imprint

The new platform will also provide dedicated marketing campaigns “focusing on the most respected and up-and-coming producers” across electronic genres via the platform, the company said. Additionally, Beatport Sounds will feature a series of dedicated genre packs in the most popular samples on the platform.

A new artist pack will be released every month starting with Techno Fundamentals by Slovenian techno DJ and producer Umek. Other sample packs feature various artists from tech-house and house to drum & bass and electronica, including Steve Lawler, DJ Krust, object blue, Anastasia Kristensen, and Marshall Jefferson.

“We’re excited about the launch of Beatport Sounds and to be working closely with such a diverse group of artists on sample packs that reflect their unique voice as a producer across so many genres,” Beatport’s global artist services vice-president Heiko Hoffmann said. “In addition, we also give an inside look into their production process and approach to sampling through videos and Beatportal articles. We hope the sample packs inspire many creators in their own music-making.”

Loopmasters gives users access to a vast library of samples, boasting more than four million royalty-free sounds and loops that can seamlessly synchronise with digital audio workstations in real-time. Its subscription tiers provide a suite of instrument plugins, which enable subscribers to audition, loop, chop, pitch, and edit the sound packs. Beatport acquired the Loopmasters in December 2020 and has since been integrating the product into its global ecosystem of creators.

Beatport Sounds forms part of the Loopcloud subscription. The sound packs can also be purchased from the Loopcloud application and website.
