Priceless Ledimo

Born and raised in the vibrant township of Kanana, Orkney, in South Africa's North West Province, Priceless Ledimo is a multi-talented musician, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and creative visionary whose journey is a testament to resilience, ambition, and reinvention.

Growing up surrounded by the sounds and stories of township life, music was always part of his environment, but it wasn't initially his dream. His journey into the industry began through producing and selling beats to make a living. What started as a hustle soon became a calling, revealing a natural talent for creating music that speaks to everyday struggles, hope, and triumph.

His breakthrough came when he was invited to work in a Johannesburg recording studio, where he spent two transformative years under the mentorship of The Notorious King P in Zandspruit, Honeydew. The experience sharpened his skills and ignited a passion for building a lasting legacy in the entertainment industry. In 2011, his first music video received national exposure on SABC 1's youth programme Zone D, introducing Priceless to a wider South African audience.

Determined to carve his own path, Priceless independently released the single and music video for "Ntwana Kasi" in 2016. The project gained significant attention, earning thousands of views online and receiving radio airplay on Lesedi FM. Despite facing financial setbacks that prevented him from taking advantage of major promotional opportunities, he remained focused on his dream.

In 2017, a memorable performance at Rio Casino opened another door when he was awarded a scholarship to study the music business at Boston City College. Armed with new knowledge and experience, he founded Mad Genius Publishers, a company dedicated to empowering independent artists and creating opportunities outside the traditional music industry.

Like many entrepreneurs, Priceless faced one of his greatest challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. Financial pressures forced the closure of Mad Genius Publishers in 2020, but instead of giving up, he reinvented himself. In 2021, he was recognised by YouTube Music and the BlackStripe Foundation as one of South Africa's most creative content creators. Through mentorship from industry icons including Oskido, Nadia Nakai, Busiswa, and Slikour, he expanded his creative horizons and discovered a passion for visual storytelling.

This led to the birth of Priceless Pictures, a production company specialising in music videos, documentaries, films, and talk shows. Through the company, Priceless has continued to build his reputation as a versatile creative force, proving that great storytelling extends beyond music.

The year 2026 marked a defining chapter in his career. Priceless made a memorable appearance on SABC 2's popular game show Deal or No Deal South Africa, stepping into the spotlight as one of the contestants battling the Banker with one mission—to raise funds to bring his creative vision to life by producing a new music video and investing in his music career. The appearance introduced him to an even broader audience and showcased the determination that has defined his journey from the very beginning.
