Thokozane Evette Magagula Professionally Known by his stage name Ivy Beatz,Is a South African Dj,record producer,Composer,Songwriter,Concert Promoter & Musician who plays multiple instruments such as ;the Bass guitar,Electric Guitar,Piano,Synthesiser Keyboards& the Melodica.
He fuses his abilities of playing various live musical instruments with his touch of commercial digital music which he has produced.

Born in the capital city of Pretoria in South Africa,from a tight knit township in Hammanskraal & raised from a church musical oriented family with his father who is a former keyboardist & Musician,Bread in a small township in Nelspruit

Ivy Beatz got influenced to listen to many unique African sounds popular from each city he stayed at.
He Later returned to his city of birth Pretoria to pursue his musical career from becoming a multi-instrumentalist to becoming a versatile commercial DJ & Producer.

Ivy Beatz became popular from his hometown (Pretoria) for blending his ability to play various musical instruments with commercial Amapiano pop culture music selected from the Cdj from his playlists

Apart from pursuing his career as a DJ & producer,Ivy Beatz Continues to utilise his skills by teaming up with various artists & musicians to host shows and tour many concerts within & across his hometown.

He has collaborated with big brands such as the likes of ;Kota Embassy, Shizo ,Dzo 729,Berry Jive,Taverner Pearce and many more.

Achievements:
Known for also accompanying bands and becoming an event planner.
He has planned at performed for big corporations such as : SARS (LINTON HOUSE BROOKLYN), MARARA PHARMACY (CENTURION) ,TIGERS MILK (IRENE VILLAGE)

-In 2024 He Opened his private Music School called Sgub Academy. Where he focuses solely on developing the society with extra mural activities with in the arts & culture department.
-He has taught music at big institutions likes;Oakfields College in Lynnwood,Pretoria and in Ennerdale Johannesburg.

He also teamed up with many bands, getting bookings from Restaurants, festivals, Studio recording sessions and many more.

Together with the bands they kept many dancefloors vibrant and energetic at local shows,clubs,Restaurants & Cafes,Social Markets & high profile festivals provincially like;The Smoking Dragon Festival (in Drankensburg in Kzn,South Africa),Orbit Scale Sessions (Mamelodi,Pretoria),SARS Brooklyn Headquarters,The Roar Restaurants(Sandton )
