Bio

D.K Avontuur born 29 November 1993 also known by his stage name Dillihano, is an South-African musical artist, songwriter and record producer from Cape Town.

Being from South Africa’s most notorious crime-ridden areas in the country, Dillihano was raised by his Grandmother which played a very important role in his life.
The lethal and cutthroat environment inspired Dillihano to become this generations premier voice for the voiceless.

After releasing Freestyles and free mixtapes on Audiomack, it got good responses from listeners, the artist decided to take it a step up with his music.
Dillihano started off with his independent music career in 2018, with his own Record Label “Studio Free Music”. He has released mixtapes Southern Heritage, Indie, San-Man and Street Stars that gave him the drive to be more consistent with his music, it gave him some positive feedback from many listeners which described him as a very unique artist with his catchy “wordplay and wordslang”. Through his consistency with his music many artists and producers like Rick Ross, Sean Kingston, DMX, Kurupt, Vibe Tyson, Big Jeezy, M-Sound The Producer, Dj Cosher, Ross Rowley, TaylorMade Beats, Bow Wow, Tony Yayo and Kevin Hues reached out to him to do collaborations.

In 2020 Dillihano released 2 Projects named I Watch The Throne II (The Mental Lap) and God Season. The God Season Vol.1 Project became his first collective project that reached the Top 100 Itunes Hip-Hop Album Charts entry #39, while 3 Singles like “No Enemies”, “Jargon” and “Stronger Days” off the “I Watch The Throne II ” project reached the Top 100 Itunes Song charts. It made him feel unstoppable and gave him the confidence to go harder.

He took the same energy into 2021, where he kicked off with a Hip-Hop / Pop Project called “Certified Undercover Lover” with songs like God is Good, Back From The Mud, Today, Big BRR and I’m Good reaching the Top 100 Itunes Hip-Hop Songs charts. That same year he released God Season 2 and I Watch Tha Throne II (Long Live Life) which proofed he has the life experience, lyrical dexterity and the vocal inflection of someone far beyond his age 29.

His recent projects like Peace. Patience, Southern Genre Flow (Sasley Tape 3), Southside Jinni and God Season 3 that Dillihano released in 2022, should led you know that no one paints a more deft and vivid picture of the complexities of real life like Dillihano. The musical artist has been nominated this year for “Artist of the Year” award at the SHOW4ME 2022 Musical Awards, an UK based entertainment organization, that supports independent artists.
