Open call: 2026 Accelerate Africa Start-up Programme
The Accelerate Africa Start-up Programme has opened applications for its 2026 cohort, inviting early-stage founders across Africa to apply for support aimed at scaling impact-driven businesses.
The application deadline is 25 July.
The programme targets start-ups building solutions to challenges across the continent and focuses on helping founders develop investment-ready, scalable ventures.
Selected participants will join a curated cohort and receive structured support from founders, investors and operators within the African technology and start-up ecosystem.
Funding and investment opportunity
- The programme is equity-free and does not provide upfront capital during participation
- Following completion, selected start-ups may be considered for investment
- Potential post-programme funding ranges between $250 000 and $500 000
- All investment decisions are subject to due diligence and approval processes
Programme structure and support
Participants will receive support designed to strengthen product development, fundraising and business growth, including:
- Mentorship from experienced founders, investors and industry practitioners
- Workshops and coaching sessions focused on scaling and fundraising
- Expert office hours covering legal, technical and financial guidance
- Access to a network of investors and ecosystem stakeholders
- Peer learning within a curated founder cohort
Eligibility criteria
Applications are open to founders who meet the following conditions:
- Based in Africa
- Operating an early-stage start-up
- Have at least one co-founder
- Teams with diverse representation are encouraged, including female co-founders
The programme is open across sectors, provided ventures are scalable and impact-focused.
