Donii Major

Born and raised in the vibrant musical landscape of Freetown, Sierra Leone, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Donald Leigh—known professionally as Donii Major—crafts a sound deeply rooted in the church worship, neighborhood bars, and dance parlors of his youth. His professional journey began in 2006 on the church keyboard, eventually evolving into a three-year tenure playing bass for the band Touch Lives and later serving as the music director and lead vocalist for Graceville United. In 2018, Donii Major solidified his identity as a powerhouse solo artist with his breakout debut single, "Freetown City," a soulful ode to his hometown that expanded his reach across the continent. Now an established and seasoned performer, his evocative storytelling and dynamic stage presence have captivated audiences on major stages from Sierra Leone to Morocco, making him an exceptional, culturally rich addition to any lineup.
