Shylar Music (born Berlinda Gedie) is a Ghanaian Afrobeat and Afro-fusion singer, songwriter, and performer based in Accra, Ghana, known for her vibrant stage presence and genre-blending sound. Emerging in the early 2020s, she began steadily building her music career through independent releases, gaining recognition for her versatility across Afrobeats, Afropop, and Highlife. Her early singles such as “Kila Kila” (2022), “Go Away” (2022), and “Sinner” (2023) established her as a promising new voice in Ghana’s contemporary music scene, with a style that combines melodic storytelling and energetic delivery.
Shylar’s breakthrough came with the release of her 2024 EP First Face, a project that showcased her artistic range and collaborative strength.
