South African artists Msaki and Jesse Clegg have released a short film titled Entropy, extending their collaborative EP into a visual format that reframes the project as a cinematic narrative.

The film is structured as a series of interconnected visual chapters and brings together the emotional and sonic themes of the EP, which explores loss, transformation and renewal. It presents the work as a continuous narrative rather than a collection of standalone tracks.
The project, developed over three years across locations including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Los Angeles and New York, has been positioned as a broader artistic concept beyond its musical release. The short film builds on that approach, offering what the creators describe as a visual interpretation of the EP’s themes.
Directed by Marty Bleazard, the film does not follow a linear storyline. Instead, it is presented as an interpretive work intended to allow viewers to engage with the material in a personal way, combining music, imagery and narrative fragments.
Bleazard said the project evolved into a structured cinematic concept during its development.
“Once we had decided on a short film in six parts there was no going back... the Entropy Cinematic Universe became real, a reckless love story set against the backdrop of Joburg. Each song on this EP is magical, and I hope everyone connects to the story and characters in some way,” he said.
The film serves as the final component of the Entropy visual rollout, designed to complement the EP’s themes of emotional complexity and change.
Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, the project encourages viewers to interpret the work through their own perspective, with emphasis on mood and emotional resonance.
The short film is now available for viewing online.
