The festival, hosted at People’s Park, will also feature performances by Vusi Mahlasela, Maleh and Brandon Aura. Organisers said the event forms part of the festival’s 20-year anniversary celebrations under the theme Say Africa.
Bassline founder Brad Holmes said the programme reflects current activity within the organisation’s artist network. “This announcement reflects the strength of Bassline’s artist ecosystem, with all featured artists currently experiencing significant career momentum,” he said.
The event is expected to run from early afternoon until evening, with gates opening at midday. Tickets start from R300 and are available through Webtickets.
Holmes said the festival format has been adjusted to a daytime schedule. “As a proudly Johannesburg-born brand, Bassline understands its audience. The shift to a daytime festival format, starting early and ending at sunset, reflects a conscious move away from late-night winter events, creating a more comfortable, accessible, and inclusive experience,” he said.
“It allows audiences to enjoy the festival in the warmth of the day, while also giving them the freedom to continue their evening elsewhere or return home comfortably,” he added.
The organisers said the event will include food, craft and other cultural offerings alongside live performances. Additional artists and winners from the Rhythmic Clash talent search programme are expected to be announced ahead of the festival.
Bassline Fest is one of South Africa’s long-running live music platforms, with a focus on showcasing local talent and supporting artist development initiatives.
