South African artists King P and Don Deeya have released a new amapiano single, ‘Dlala Fisho’, featuring producer and artist Mr JazziQ.
King P.
The track brings together elements associated with township nightlife and dance culture, combining bass-driven production, log drums and chant-style vocals shaped by kasi slang. It marks a new collaboration between King P and Don Deeya, with Mr JazziQ adding his established production style to the release.
The song centres on movement and dancefloor energy, reflecting themes that have become closely tied to amapiano’s rise in South Africa and abroad. Its sound draws on street-inspired influences while maintaining the polished production associated with mainstream releases in the genre.
King P, born Kgosi Chauke, was born in Soweto and raised in Atteridgeville, Pretoria. He began producing music at the age of 15 and has continued to develop his career in the local music industry.
Don Deeya, whose real name is Siyabonga Kunene, is from eMbalenhle in Mpumalanga. He is known for blending Kwaito-inspired influences into amapiano. His early interest in music began with experimenting on Virtual DJ before moving into professional music-making.
Mr JazziQ, born Tumelo Manyoni, is one of the best-known names in amapiano. A former member of JazziDisciples, he has become widely recognised for his role in the genre’s development. Raised in Alexandra, Johannesburg, he began DJing at 14 and producing at 16.
‘Dlala Fisho’ adds to a growing catalogue of amapiano releases that continue to reflect local street culture while reaching wider audiences.
