Sony Music West Africa to host Bloom and Bloom events for International Women’s Day
Sony Music Entertainment’s West Africa division has announced the return of its Women’s Month initiative, Bloom & Bloom, as part of activities marking International Women's Day 2026.
Tosin Ajibade will speak at the event.
The programme aims to highlight the contributions of women across Africa’s creative and business sectors and will feature a series of discussions and networking events focused on collaboration, mentorship and leadership.
Organised around the 2026 International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain, the initiative seeks to encourage cooperation among women in creative and corporate industries, with organisers describing the project as an effort to support long-term professional growth and opportunities.
The first event, the Greenhouse Panel Sessions, will take place on 19 March and will bring together creators, executives, founders and cultural figures for discussions on issues including intellectual property, brand development and the business of creativity.
Scheduled speakers include actress Mimi Chaka, media entrepreneur Tosin Ajibade, also known for founding OloriSuperGal Media, Odunayo Eweniyi, co-founder of PiggyVest, content creator Kiekie, reality television personality Alex Asogwa, and producer Victoria Nkong of the All Africa Music Awards.
The programme will conclude on 20 March with the Bloom & Bloom Mixer, an invitation-only event bringing together participants from industries including music, film, fashion, technology, media and entrepreneurship. According to organisers, the gathering is intended to facilitate networking and collaboration among professionals across these sectors.
Several companies and organisations are supporting the initiative, including Tolaram Group, Flying Fish, MISKAY, Hip TV, Audio Girl Africa, Echoo Room and Severe Nature.
The event forms part of broader discussions taking place globally around gender representation and leadership during International Women’s Day. Organisers say the initiative aims to create opportunities for women across industries to connect and share professional experiences.
