“UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell remains one of the most beloved live acts to tour South Africa,” Big Concerts International chief executive Attie Van Wyk said. “Pretoria showed up in a big way and the sell-out reinforces their incredible legacy. We’re proud to be opening a second show to meet the exceptional demand from fans.”
The tour will also include performances at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town on 2 June 2026 and at the Durban International Convention Centre on 4 June 2026.
Big Concerts has also confirmed M-Net as an official tour partner. In a statement, the broadcaster said it was “proud to partner with Big Concerts on the upcoming UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell event, bringing South African fans an unforgettable live experience and celebrating the band’s iconic legacy”.
UB40 emerged from Birmingham in the late 1970s and became one of the most commercially successful reggae acts of the 1980s, known for blending reggae with pop influences. The band achieved global success with songs such as ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘Kingston Town’ and ‘(I Can’t Help) Falling in Love with You’, alongside albums including Signing Off and Labour of Love.
Ali Campbell later departed the original UB40 line-up and continues to perform under the UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell banner, maintaining a catalogue that spans the group’s early releases and later material.
Tickets for all tour dates are currently on sale through Big Concerts and Ticketmaster.
