Spotify Wrapped 2025: Wizkid is the most-streamed artist in Nigeria
Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid emerged as the most-streamed artist in Nigeria, followed by Seyi Vibez, Asake, Burna Boy and ODUMODUBLVCK.

BNXN, FOLA, Davido, Rema and Olamide completed the top ten, underscoring the continued dominance of Afrobeats, street-hop and related genres in the local market.
Ayra Starr retained her position as the most-streamed female artist in the country, ahead of Tems and Smur Lee. The list also featured international acts including Billie Eilish, SZA and Rihanna, alongside Nigerian artists Darkoo, Qing Madi, Tiwa Savage and Sunmisola Agbebi, indicating a blend of local and global listening preferences.
Among the most notable performers were Fido, Kunmie, Faceless and FOLA, all of whom placed within the top tier of most-streamed tracks in Nigeria. Davido and Omah Lay recorded the country’s most-streamed and most-shared song of the year with ‘With You (feat. Omah Lay)’, reinforcing Davido’s continued commercial strength and Omah Lay’s sustained appeal.
Other songs that performed strongly on Nigerian streams included ‘Joy is Coming’ – Fido, ‘Arike’ – Kunmie, ‘Venus’ – Faceless, Serotonin, ‘PITY THIS BOY (with Victony)’ – ODUMODUBLVCK, Victony, and ‘Lost’ – FOLA, Kizz Daniel. Wizkid’s ‘Kese (Dance)’, BNXN’s ‘Very Soon’, Shallipopi’s ‘Laho’ and Davido’s ‘Funds (feat. ODUMODUBLVCK & Chike)’ also attracted significant listening figures.
On the album front, Wizkid’s Morayo led the rankings, followed by Davido’s 5ive and BNXN’s Captain. Burna Boy’s No Sign Of Weakness, FOLA’s Catharsis, Olamide’s self-titled Olamidé and ODUMODUBLVCK’s THE MACHINE IS COMING also ranked among the most streamed albums in Nigeria. Asake placed three projects within the national top ten, highlighting consistent demand for his catalogue over the year.
Internationally, Nigerian artists maintained strong export performance. Burna Boy, Tems, Rema, Ayra Starr and Wizkid were the most-exported artists, while Rema’s ‘Calm Down (with Selena Gomez)’ remained the most-exported Nigerian song for the third consecutive year.
Beyond music streaming, Spotify recorded growth in podcast consumption in Nigeria. Listening hours rose by 97 per cent compared to the previous year, while locally created podcasts increased by 48 per cent. Religion and spirituality-focused content dominated the podcast rankings.
