Empowering South Africa’s creative economy
Since its inception, MEX has sought to strengthen South Africa’s creative industries by fostering collaboration between artists, entrepreneurs and policymakers. The 2025 edition continues this tradition by focusing on new revenue models, copyright protection, and the evolving relationship between culture and commerce.
“MEX has always been about giving creatives the tools and networks they need to grow,” said MEX founder Martin Myers. “With #MEX25 marking our 15th year, we urge artists to attend, be in the room, engage with top talent who can amplify your career, and ask the questions that matter.”
Described by organisers as a meeting point for tradition and transformation, MEX25 aims to bridge gaps between established industry players and emerging creatives. Participants will gain strategic insights from leading thinkers while exploring new ways to sustain their work in the digital economy.
