Lílian Rocha
Bio
Lílian Rocha is a 32-year-old Black Brazilian singer whose music blends Afro-Brazilian traditions with contemporary soul, poetic expression, and strong social narratives.
Born and raised in Brazil, her voice reflects the rich cultural legacy of the African diaspora that runs deep in the rhythms of samba, ijexá, coco, and beyond.
She is currently celebrating one year since the release of her first studio album, DO NILO, a work that narrates her journey as an Amefrican artist navigating the territory of São Paulo. The album is a powerful musical statement that connects Brazil to multiple African traditions and expressions, featuring guest artists from Mozambique, Congo, Guinea, Senegal, and leading names from Brazil’s Black and jazz scenes. [Artist Name] served as the executive producer and artistic director of the project, marking a significant moment in her evolution as a creator.
Prior to DO NILO, she dedicated over a decade to her work as a singer, interpreter, dancer, and performer, collaborating on a wide range of artistic productions in São Paulo’s cultural landscape. Her performances today are 100% live, blending strong vocals, Afro-Brazilian percussion, movement, and storytelling. Her lyrics often explore themes of ancestry, identity, freedom, and feminine strength — grounded in joy, resistance, and spiritual depth.
In 2025, she began her international journey performing at festivals in Mozambique, strengthening artistic ties with the continent and expanding her role as a cultural bridge between Brazil and the many Africas.
With a voice rooted in ancestry and a vision shaped by lived experience, Lílian Rocha continues to craft performances that honor memory, movement, and the collective power of music.
