Tyla joins Rihanna, Cardi B on star-studded Smurfs movie soundtrack
South African global sensation Tyla has been confirmed as part of the all-star line-up on the official soundtrack of the highly anticipated Smurfs movie, set for cinematic release on 18 July.

The amapiano hitmaker features on the track ‘Everything Goes With Blue’, marking a major career milestone as she joins international heavyweights such as Rihanna, Cardi B, DJ Khaled, Shenseea, and James Corden on the Roc Nation-distributed soundtrack. The full album will be released on 13 June and is now available for pre-order and pre-save.
The announcement follows the earlier release of Rihanna’s lead single from the soundtrack, ‘Friend of Mine’, as well as ‘Higher Love’ by DESI TRILL featuring DJ Khaled, Cardi B, Natania and Subhi. The vibrant mix of genres and global talents reflects the film’s international appeal and diverse creative direction.
Tyla’s inclusion on the soundtrack cements her growing status as one of Africa’s most exciting exports. The 22-year-old, known for her breakout global hit ‘Water’, continues to extend her influence beyond the continent, this time through animation and film.
In Smurfs, pop icon Rihanna also stars as the voice of Smurfs and serves as one of the film’s producers. The plot follows Smurfs’ journey into the real world to rescue Papa Smurf, voiced by John Goodman, after his mysterious abduction by evil wizards Gargamel and Razamel.
The film boasts a star-studded voice cast that includes James Corden, Sandra Oh, Jimmy Kimmel, Nick Offerman, Octavia Spencer, Daniel Levy, and Marshmello, among others. Directed by Chris Miller and written by Pam Brady, Smurfs is produced by Jay Brown, Ty Ty Smith, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, and Ryan Harris.
The Smurfs movie is presented by Paramount Animation in association with Domain Entertainment and based on the original characters and works of Peyo.
