Open call: Fak’ugesi Awards 2025 for African creatives

The call is designed for African creatives who are pushing boundaries in music, animation, gaming, XR, digital arts, , or design. The Fak’ugesi Awards are looking for the boldest, brightest, and most innovative talents across the continent.

Awards categories are as follows:

• Cross-sector music: Compositions linked to animation, video games, immersive media, digital art, and design.
• Animation: Short films, feature length, title animations, student animations, teasers & trailers.
• Video games: Mobile, desktop, demo and student games.
• Immersive (XR/AR): AR, VR & Student
• Digital Arts: Digital film, photography and digi-manipulation, performance with digital components. screen-based digital art.
• Design: Industrial design, architecture and fashion.
