Call for applications: 2023 Blue Ox Music Festival virtual band competition
Blue Ox Music Festival in the US is inviting bluegrass, Americana and folk singers – or any other artists that would jive with Blue Ox fans – to submit applications for its virtual band competition.

Successful artists win a slot to perform on the Backwoods Stage at Blue Ox Music Festival in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on 24 June.
How to enter:
- Create a new video or submit a recently created video of a band performing one original song (performance video).
- Upload the video on YouTube as a published or unlisted video (artists should choose unlisted if they do not want their submission visible on YouTube).
- Fill out the virtual band competition application form and include the YouTube URL link to the video no later than 17 February at 11.59PM (CST).
How to win:
- The Blue Ox team will select a top band competition submissions and post band information with video links to its website.
- All chosen entries will be compiled into one video that will premiere on Facebook on 1 March.
- After the video premieres, voting will open up to the public from 15 March.
- The winner will receive a slot to perform on the Backwoods Stage on 24 June. Band members will also receive weekend passes to the 2023 Blue Ox Music Festival.
