Bandile Gumbi

Bandile is an accomplished and experienced practitioner in the arts as well as a committed, proficient and knowledgeable arts administrator having held diverse positions across the arts ecosystem from education,  programme management and organisational management. She has over 20 years experience in the arts, culture and creative industries. She started involvment in the arts a poet and writer.  She is passionate about the arts and cultural sector and committed to its development and growth.

She holds an MA in Communication for Develpment from the Unversity of  Malmö, Sweden and a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of KwaZulu Natal. She is the former Chairperson of the Visual Arts Network of South Africa.
Currently she is the Project Manager of the Goethe-Institut’s Cav‘ Platform.
