Bio
Mahubo Phungulwa also known as Amahubo is an artist from South African based in Mahikeng, North West Province. His music career started at home with the family choir. He progressed to singing with local groups and finally founded his own. In 2005 he recorded his debut album with his afro-pop group, comprising of 3 members called, Masivhe. In 2007 he recorded his debut Gospel music album, titled Amahubo - Uzubenathi, in 2009, he released Amahubo - The Rise. In the same year, he shared a stage with Anthony Hamilton, Kenny Lattimore and Johnny Gill. The following year, he led the 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP Choir in the Province that promoted Public Viewing Areas/Fan Parks across the 4 districts of our province. In 2011, he did the same for the African Confederation Cup.
In 2015 he released Amahubo - The Rise Season 2. Among his notable achievements, he has shared stages with the likes of Joyous Celebration, Spirit of Praise, Worship House, Tshwane Gospel Choir, Soweto Gospel Choir, Dr Rebecca Malope, Sipho Makhabane, Dr Tumi, Winnie Mashaba and many others. To date, he continues to perform at various corporate, government, concerts and festivals across the country. His latest singles include, Ndi Ya Kholwa, U Muhle, Phakama, U Fanalwe and You are God.
