SA: Watch Cece Vee’s Wild Hearts video

The upbeat, electro ’80s track was written and produced by Mia Van Wyk and Paul Gala, respectively. ‘Wild Hearts’ is accompanied by a video, which was shot and directed by Joshua Cookson. The video was filmed on a deserted backroad outside Philadelphia north of Cape Town.

“The song is inspired by the feeling of escapism that goes hand in hand with nostalgia and living in the moment,” Cece Vee said. “It's about being fearless and unashamedly authentic. Someone with a wild heart is someone who dreams big and won't let anything get in the way of their happiness and authenticity.

”Whether you are present and living through these moments, or looking back at your best times and drawing inspiration and hope from these experiences, there is always a feeling of euphoria that makes you feel hopeful and unstoppable and ushers you into a mental space where you are free and stop worrying about the future.”

In December, Cece Vee made the local charts with her debut single ‘Dysfunctional​’. The song landed her on the cover of JOOX’s New Pop Hits playlist.
