Akram Missaoui

Akram is multi - talented artist combining theatre, music, writing, Music therapy, coaching and teaching. Even in music he is multi - disciplinary playing percussion, composing and singing. his way of doing things: combining all the disciplines to share this passion with the audience through live performances, concerts, trainings and workshops aiming to develop life competencies through musical practice.
After playing different roles with different bands, Akram finally starts his solo journey with the support of Basita Fellowship Funded by Drosos Foundation in 2022.

Music has always been a matter of family and heritage for him. Born and raised in Kasserine, in central Tunisia, Akram grew with the traditional melodies and the epic poetry inherited from his ancestors and developed this passion to promote and perpetuate this immaterial heritage. His music is a reflection of his soul: honest, emotional, spiritual and timeless. He’s expressing his culture and heritage through traditional rhythms and melodies with modern sounds and rhythms that reflect our modern world.
