Early life
Joseph Mbundungu ( born 26 August. better known by his stage name Zephy Oldies is a Malawian Record Producer, song writer, Singer and Rapper.
Zephy Oldies`s. first full credit recognition was in 2006 when he won a musical contest on his graduation. before 2006, he was in the Drama and the Choir since his childhood and went to various radio stations in Malawi for radio presenting.
In Early 2008 his song was voted the best track after he performed on a talent search competition. Later in 2008, his Mum relocated to Lilongwe the Capital city of Malawi where he went to college, studied computer engineering and structured cabling. on the side zephy oldies had a bedroom studio where he started his first music production. With help from the Above he Developed a skill and started doing it professionally.
Later in 2008 he moved to the Northern part of Malawi where he also had a chance to work with a few upcoming artists. He opened a music Label called Green jam records and was voted the best northern region producer in 2009. just in a year zephy oldies had accomplished a lot in just one year of staying in mzuzu. he brought out popular names of artist that are known in the Malawian music industry.
In 2010 he moved to johannesburg Southafrica where he continued his music career and his persuit for sound. he started a music label called base X music and he worked with alot of Upcomming and established artists from around africa southafrica Zimbabwe, Nigeria,,malawi,drc, malawi,cameroon, etc...

He was Based in JHB South Africa Zephy Worked with Sisqo productions a fast growing Nigerian Media Company that has signed over 10 big African Artist all over Africa.
Since he started his music career as a profesional music producer he has worked with alot of Artists Across Africa, apart from Sisqo production Artists like the Likes of
