Tendaness

Tendaness (real name Tatenda Mandaza) mushroomed into the scene with his hit “Jika ft. Bholoja & LO”, a record that introduced the signature Tendaness sound and positively redirected the course of his journey.

Even though 2017 was the year many were first introduced to his music, the inception of the Swazi born DJ and Producer’s career was a decade before. The release of subsequent singles Love Me, Call On Me, Solo, Tell Me and Make Up Your Mind verified his position in the music industry, proving that he’s not here by accident. Described as a “genre bender,” Tendaness’ sound infuses elements of a variety of genres such as Jazz and Folk with electronic elements and the result is a sound with worldwide potential.

The album’s lead singles “Jika” and “Love Me” have already received airplay and charted in major radio station in Africa and the world. The two singles have charted on YFM in South Africa (Both Jika and Love Me peaked at No 2. On the YFM YUrban top 40 chart), BBC Radio 1xtra in the UK (Jika peaked at No 2 on the DJ Edu DNA Top 5 Chart) and PBS FM in Melbourne, Australia (Jika hit No 4 on the Afro Turn Up Chart with Kix) to name a few.

In his self titled debut and top charting album, "TENDANESS" (released 22 March 2019), the artist manages to perfectly marry different musical worlds creating a lane he can safely call his own.

The album hit number 1 on the Apple Music Pop Charts within 12 hours of release and also hit number 1 on the Apple Music All Genres Chart within the first 48 hours of release.

The album features an array of talented musicians, all who fit perfectly with Tendaness’ sound. Features include the legend Bholoja, LO, Velemseni, Zanda Zakuza (featured on hits such as Prince Kaybee’s Club Controller, Umvulo with DJ Mdix and more), Afropop artist Vuyokazi Tshaya, super guitarist Tshego AMG, Slovakia’s leading female Hip Hop artist Aless, and more.
