Presh

Presh (Precious John) is a Nigerian Afro-pop musician and songwriter, hailing from the Akwa|Cross region (a blend of Akwa Ibom and Cross River States). Born and raised in lagos, for its vibrant music culture, Presh developed his passion for music through his early involvement in the church choir, where he learned the fundamentals of performance and harmony.

His major breakthrough came in 2002, when he teamed up with Kingsley Okonkwo (Kcee) to form the dynamic duo Kcee Presh. The pair gained national fame after winning the Star Quest Talent Hunt competition in 2002, a victory that launched their professional music careers and solidified their place in Nigeria’s contemporary music scene.

After years of success as part of Kcee Presh, Presh later embarked on a solo career, continuing to showcase his unique sound that blends Afro-pop rhythms with soulful melodies and rich cultural influences from Southern Nigeria.
