Nyawĩra

Nyawĩra is a singer and songwriter from Kenya.

Her music is the fusion of Gĩkũyũ folk sound, Reggae, Afro-House and Jazz. She writes and sings in Gĩkũyũ, Swahili and English.

Nyawĩra began her music career in 2012, when she took part at an African musical TV show called Tusker Project Fame, where she came second.
In the same year, she wrote her debut singles 'Blaq Cinderella' and 'Mũciari'.

She has since written and produced her own music, and is one of the lead singers at Ni Sisi Band.

In 2016, she founded Blue Motion, an ensemble that now accompanies her on her performances.
Her music is created to share love, heal & for self-awareness.
