Lunga The Comet

How it all began

Lunga The Comet is a singer-songwriter from Eswatini, born and raised in the colorful town Manzini. Lunga discovered his love for music at an early age, a love he kept to himself as his own escape , citing neo-soul and RnB genres as his musical awakening. This awakening would grow into an eclectic mix of Gospel, Jazz, Blues and Indie influences that have shaped his musical sensibilities and choices.

Career beginnings and Artistry

Lunga began actively pursuing his passion for music after High School in 2015,where he would gate crash shows and render impromptu performances, mainly freestyles about love since at that time that's all he had heard from his influences . In 2019 he would have his first debut perfomance as Lunga Sky at the annual Fet de la Musique festival held In Mbabane by the French Alliance, where he rendered original songs he had written.A stage he would return to in 2020, 2022 and 2024 respectively.
In April of 2025 he headlined the monthly Poetry&Acoustics show, debuting his official stage name, Lunga The Comet.

Lunga The Comet identifies as a poetic, sensitive, explorative, pensive and spiritual artist, whose live performances give true testament of his ever evolving artistry.
The Comet is yet to release his own body of work but has the had privilege of collaborating with renowned local talents including the likes of Slotta, Beezae and Liyanna Ndiweni.
