Khan Khalii

Khan Khalii is a soulful songwriter, performer, and creative visionary from Pretoria, South Africa, known for weaving ethereal soundscapes with emotionally raw storytelling. Her music blends soul, R&B, and experimental influences, often exploring themes of identity, healing, and transformation.

In 2025, Khan released her conceptual EP, Lumeria, a genre-blurring body of work set in an angelic alien universe inhabited only by women. The project includes standout singles such as "Crash + Burn", a fiery emotional anthem confronting heartbreak, and "Blood On My Hands", which delves into themes of guilt, grief, and power. The EP has been praised for its bold narrative, immersive visual storytelling, and futuristic production style.

Khan Khalii was selected as one of 35 global fellows for the Versions Fellowship, an initiative by Darkspark that uses music for social justice. As the only South African participant, she created Khan's Korner, a workshop series for women and queer creatives focused on demystifying the music business and empowering marginalized voices.

She is also an alumna of the Digital Lab Africa Music Cohort (2023) and a participant in the Bridgefire Program, reflecting her commitment to cross-disciplinary collaboration and digital innovation. In addition, she has worked as a communications coordinator for the Fak'ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival and played key roles in music and cultural events like In the City, Basha Uhuru, and more.
