Bio
Hembadoon is a singer, songwriter, radio host and entrepreneur out of Nigeria who attributes her craft to the broad range of music she was exposed to from a very young age including Western music, Fuji, Juju, and a broad range of African music.
With her first commercial single 'Odo Aye' dominating radio charts in the North as far back as 2003, Hembadoon went on to work as an on-air Radio personality, a contributing entertainment writer in one of Nigeria's national Newspapers, sang backup for South African singer Somti Mndebele on her Nigerian tour and worked as a Public Relations and A&R executive for corporates and on the teams of some of today's biggest Afrobeat superstars, in her over a decade long career, including Ice Prince, Asa, Burna Boy, and Simi.
Since a career relaunch in 2020 with the release of Afro Jazz single, "LADY", the Artist has played on stages in and out of Africa, Canada and Europe. Her debut Album "TIME Na NOW" with release date January 30, 2026, profiles her musical journey and displays her storytelling craft as well as her lyrical abilities.
Hembadoon's music is conscious Afro-fusion and explores a wide range of topics.
In line with her brand identity and Moniker "LADY", Hembadoon has launched a line of brand items starting off with her Lady T-Shirts - available on Hembadoon.com, and a "Lady Live" showcase series with her 7-man band, "The Lady Force". The "LADY LIVE" events hosts fans, family and misic industry artistes & executives.
Hembadoon is on a steady rise, with a cross-cultural career, establishing herself of one of Luxembourg's most eccentric Afro-fusion performers and cultural ambassadors. She regularly plays with her ensemble of talented musicians, The Lady Force Band. In Luxembourg, she represents on the country's community Radio ARA, hosting shows targeted at Niche audiences and profiling her rich cultural background and heritage: NUBIAN LOUNGE every Thursday from 10.00am features music rooted in Jazz, R&B, Funk, HipHop, Afrobeats, Amapiano, Mbalax, Highlife, Soukous etc and AFRIKULTURE MIX celebrates African Cultures in Luxembourg and Europe, and airs every other Sunday at 1.00pm.
