George Lesley

George Lesley is an artist from South Africa.

He has played for the following artists but not limited to: Mafikizolo-where he played at the Cape town Jazz Festival. He is a full-time Mafikizolo bass player and has played for Theo Kgosinkwe, Donald, Nathi, Vusi Nova, Bucie, Micasa, and Tumelo.

He has produced a song with the well-known percussionist/musician, Tlale Makhene called 'Atmosphere' , which showed a different side to his abilities .He recently produced an amazing song called 'Noma Inini' where he featured THE Kelly Khumalo. It is available on all digital platforms.

He has worked on numerous projects, with various artists. Not only does he play Bass, He also plays the piano. He was signed to The Soul Candi Record Company- as part of a duo, which went by the name of 'Those Boys'. They released a house album, which did very well.

In 2018 he released his solo debut album called" MY JOURNEY" which featured some of South Africa’s greatest house producers and artists like Chymamusic, Tumelo, Sculputured Music & Jaiden Veda(New York). The number 1 hit 'Blow my Mind' (suna papa) came from that album, which led Kabza de Small to do a remix of that track, and released it on his latest offering titled 'I am King of Amapiano'. This testifies to the notion that George makes timeless music. Most songs from that album are still being played on various radio stations today.George Lesley is also a key member of the soulful house duo called Artwork, which has recently released their latest offering called Searching , which is a two part EP in May 2020. Part 1 has topped the charts on Traxsource for weeks on end, with the song “Time is Now” reaching number 1 and staying there for some time. It is still in the top 100 currently. It is also play listed on national radio stations. It has been charted over 100 times by various DJ’s worldwide.
