Amanuel Dawit, professionally known as AMAN, is a pioneering Ethiopian electronic music producer and DJ who has been shaping the soundscape of Ethiopia’s music scene since 2015. Born and raised in Addis Ababa, AMAN’s journey into music began at the tender age of 14, producing beats on a modest Acer laptop with limited resources an early testament to his passion and determination.

Deeply influenced by global genres such as house, EDM, and hip hop, AMAN’s signature sound is a vibrant fusion that boldly incorporates traditional Ethiopian instruments and tribal rhythms, creating an innovative and experimental musical experience. AMAN’s breakthrough came with his debut official track “Kal” (2021), which amassed over 8.5 million views on YouTube and earned nominations for the prestigious Addis Music Awards in the categories of Best Music of the Year and Best New Artist of the Year. This success cemented his position as one of Ethiopia’s most exciting young producers.

Building on this momentum, AMAN collaborated with rising stars like Chacha Sami on the track “Anemogn”, blending house beats with Ethiopia’s traditional six/eight rhythm. His latest release, “Kalabay”, featuring Biruk and Lina, further showcases his ability to innovate within the Ethiopian future bass genre, earning widespread acclaim.
