Abenezer Abebe

Abenezer is a Canadian rapper, producer and business student at the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Management. Born in Ethiopia and raised in Canada, Abenezer has traveled extensively, being exposed to various cultures that shaped his musical style. Playing for 4 years in his school band, Abenezer took a liking for blues and jazz music and learned to play several woodwind instruments such as the saxophone and clarinet. As he pursues music production, Abenezer continues to learn various instruments.

His influences range from hip hop artists such as Nas to rock bands like Hillsong United. Those influences have shaped him to craft meaningful lyrics and make songs that reflect his biblical world view.

After giving his life to Christ at age fifteen, Abenezer developed a strong desire to learn and teach the Bible. Abenezer and other Christians in his community founded Agape United, a youth ministry in the city of Ottawa where Abenezer led and taught the group for three years.
