Eric Senderi

Born 15 March 1977 in Nyarubuye-Kirehe district, Eric Senderi is one of the notable RnB and Afro-beat musicians from Kigali, Ghana. He was born to Rutagwabira Ntampuhwe and Mukaderevu Esperance. He was born in a family of nine children but only two are left following the heinous 1994 Rwandan genocide attack against Tutsi people.

His music career started in Nyarutunga when he was still a child. He later joined the army where he composed songs against the genocide attacks. Such songs include ‘Intimba Yintore Z'imana’, ‘Nyarubuye Iwacu’, ‘Humura Ntibizongera’ and many others. Later, he released other songs like ‘Abanyarwanda Twaribohoye’ and ‘Rayon’. His music made him receive a reward from the President. He was among the artists who were selected to escort the Under 27 Amavubi football team at the 2011 World Cup held in Mexico.

He has been nominated in different competitions such as Primus Gum Guma Super Star and Salax awards.
