Bio

Jody (real name Muyoboke Phibi) is one of the talented Afro-pop and RnB artists to emerge out of Kigali, Rwanda. She was born on 9 October 1991. She discovered her passion for music at the age of nine. She recorded her first single ‘Ninjye Nawe’ in 2012. In March 2014, she released a single titled ‘Tenderness’, it has a video. Some of her singles include ‘Ndacyashidikanya’, ‘Better Than Them’, ‘Karimo’, ‘Yegwe Weka’ and ‘Nyambika Impeta’.

She has recorded songs with a local artist known as Audy Kelly and Koudou from the Brothers music group. She has also worked on the Ihorere project. Her music has been played on local TV and radio stations. This was prior to a collaboration she did in Yegwe with Ugandan songwriter Ray Signature.

Apart from music, Jody is a second year student at Mount Kenya University in Rwanda where she is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Business Administration. She is also an ambassador and cultural icon with Reach a hand organization.
