Fortress

Fortress is a music duo made up of sisters. They are from Lilongwe, Malawi. Their journey into music started off at a tender age. Back then they used to sing in church, at big family gatherings and at jazz sessions. The formation of their group marked the beginning of a new era of female artists within the country's music industry. The sector is mainly dominated by male artists.

Their music is inspired by the Kachingwe-Kamwangala clan where they belong. The songs are a fusion of Afro-urban, RnB, hip-hop and soul genres. They play instruments such as the guitar, piano and chisekese.
