TK Paradza

Bio

TK Paradza (Takudzwa Paradza) was born in Shuruwi, Zimbabwe. He is son of former High Court judge, Benjamin Paradza. He is now based in Wellington, New Zealand. He became popular when he featured on the remix of JJC’s song ‘We Are Africans’.

In 2009, he was named the winner of the Telethon Big Audition Singing Competition, which raised money towards the Kids Can Foundation and got a chance to go to LA. He has opened for American RnB duo K-Ci & Jojo, local artists like Smashproof, Dei Hamo, Nysian Mystric. He has also opened for Mutukudzi when he toured to New Zealand in 2008. He recorded and shot his debut music video for his single ‘Mr Liar’ which featured Deach from the hip-hop trio Smashproof. The single was released in July, 2010 along with his debut music video. Mr Liar was produced by fellow Zimbabwean and high school friend Shaun Matondo aka Stardust who now resides in Perth, Australia.

In 2011, he made a breakthrough when he became part of New Zealand’s band called Titanium. The band is made up of six members and was put together after a nationwide talent search by the record label, Illegal Musik, in collaboration with New Zealand’s second biggest radio station, The Age.
