Bio

Femi Temowo was born in Nigeria in 1976, but emigrated to the United Kingdom at the age of 10 with his father. He first learnt the Guitar, in the Church Band, with the encouragement of his fellow Nigerian and friend (and now internationally acclaimed Jazz Bassist) Michael Olatuja.

He soon became highly proficient and went on to study Music at the Leeds College of Music and the Middlesex University, respectively obtaining a Certificate and Degree in Music. He quickly rose to become one of Europe's most sought after Jazz Guitarists and worked with some of the world's finest musicians, across the genre, such as Wynton Marsalis, Andrea Bocelli, Amy Winehouse, George Benson, Soweto Kinch and many more.

His critically acclaimed album 'Orin meta', connecting him to his Nigerian roots, was released in 2012. He was in the same year, nominated for a MOBO award. Temowo continues to tour and collaborate internationally.
