Stogie T

Tumi Molekane (born Boitumelo Molekane in 1981) is a rapper and poet from Johannesburg, South Africa.

He is the founder of Motif Records and a former member of Tumi and the Volume band where he was the front man. Now known as Stogie T, he was born in Tanzania to exiled parents. He came to South Africa in 1992. Tumi released his debut album 'The Tao of Tumi' and published a collection of poems called 'The Black Inside Out' in 2001. This was followed with the release of his EP titled 'A Dream Led to This' on Nuffsaid Recordings in Australia.

Tumi adopted the moniker Stogie T ahead of the release of his 2016 album 'Stogie T'.
