Waka Jagne
Bio
Waka Jagne is a music promoter from the Gambia. He is the head of Waka Jagne Promotions.
He began a career in the entertainment business as a break dancer. After a succession of choreographies performed by his group, the Space Invaders, he organised a dance show. The show became a success and elevated the dancer to some celebrity.
The level of his success inspired Jagne to take up showbiz promotion. While in the UK, he was spotted by BEN TV, a television station focusing on the African diaspora. Subsequently, he started a programme for the Gambian community in the UK for the station.
He has won the Best African Promoter in the UK for his efforts at promoting Gambia.
