Alvin Smith

Alvin Nduwimana  known as Alvin Smith was born   in Buterere, Bujumbura, Burundi,He is also known to his fans as 'La Vache Originale'. Before going into music, he was known to be a comedian in his neighborhood, however music kept calling him. He started off rapping, however he did not have the means to pay for recording sessions. So he volunteered at recording studios cleaning and doing other tasks in exchange for recording time.

Alvin Smith released his first songs in 2017. He quickly gained popularity as an upcoming artist which led to other opportunities, such as acting in multiple YouTube comedy series and being an ambassador for a local organization and clothing brand.

After releasing hits like Mfata Mfata featuring Chany Queen; Mukhamaaa; Kamisha featuring Mo’w Kanzie; and Hahiye featuring Double Jay, Alvin Smith released his first EP (Party Love) in 2022. The EP featured Burundian women artists only, which was a first in the Burundian music industry.

Alvin Smith wanted to add some international flavor to his music, so he headed to Rwanda and collaborated with Bwiza to release 'Turajana'. A love song that connects two neighboring countries with difficult pasts but are resilient and have artists uniting to put East African music on the world map.
