KIRKLAVERT (born Lavert Mikyle Kywe on June 20, 2007) is a 19-year-old artist, producer, and songwriter from Johannesburg, South Africa. He officially began his musical journey in 2021, releasing tracks on SoundCloud before gaining local recognition with his 2024 single Standing On Business featuring Lil.E M. He later gained further traction in 2026 with his single Rise Above The Pain. Signed to Virtuosity Records, KIRKLAVERT is quickly emerging as one of South Africa’s rising artists.
