The real name of the South African deep house DJ and producer known as Dwson (pronounced Dawson) is Ashwin Julies, a young Cape Town-based producer, is one of the most sought-after electronic artists in South Africa at the moment.

Effortlessly breathing new life into the local deep house scene with his cavernous dub sound, Dwson is a clear favourite for any house music lovers looking for an invigorating approach to wide-reaching genre. With his diverse, soulful and dubbed-out productions, Dwson has been a prominent fixture in South Africa's thriving deep house scene since his 2015 debut. Dwson grew up in a household and neighbourhood that influenced his love for music, particularly jazz. After starting to Dj as a teenager he eventually enrolled for a production course at the Soul Candi institute of music. The talented DJ and producer has since released projects under prestigious international labels lie DeepWit Recordings, Just Move, Aluku to name a few.
