McRay (Reuben Egyiri Buabeng) is a Ghanaian rapper, recording and performing artist, born on September 6, 1995, in Ghana. He is widely recognised for his versatility, blending hip-hop with Afrobeats and alternative sounds, and is an active member of the Rebo Tribe collective. With rap as his foundation, McRay has built a reputation for delivering sharp lyricism and crafting music that balances introspection with broad audience appeal.
His music career began gaining traction in the late 2010s, as he steadily built an online following through platforms like SoundCloud and Audiomack. His breakout moment came with the release of “Fire In The Rain,” which introduced his distinct voice and storytelling ability. In 2019, he released his debut project Just Ray EP, a body of work that trended on Ghanaian social media and marked his formal arrival in the industry.
