Kholwa Brothers

Kholwa Brothers is a highly skilled a cappella (Isicathamiya) vocal ensemble based in Durban, KwaZulu‑Natal, South Africa. The name “Kholwa” means “abeliever” in isiZulu, reflecting the group’s deep connection to faith, harmony and communal expression through song.

Founded in 1990 by Derrick Mlambo, the 11‑piece all‑male choir has become one of South Africa’s most respected traditional vocal groups, celebrated for its rich harmonies, subtle choreography and engaging stage presence.
